Many symptoms and disease can emerge because our environment is increasingly toxic. Our body, especially our liver, may become overwhelmed by the toxins we eat, drink, breathe, and absorb through our skin. This causes secondary symptoms such as food and environmental allergies, chemical sensitivities. It can also cause endocrine (hormonal) imbalance, fatigue, and headaches, and body and joint aches. Environmental medicine seeks to identify the cause of the toxicity, remove the cause and rebuild the immune system.
